In 2008, Joshua served as a Field Organizer for the Obama for America campaign. As a Field Organizer in the West Valley, he worked diligently to ensure local candidates were forging strong relationships with political allies so they could collectively reach their objectives. Furthermore, Joshua engaged with community leaders, institutions and organizations to mobilize young voters by tirelessly recruiting and organizing volunteers.

Prior to this, Joshua spent 4 years in business development at Equifirst Corporation as an Account Executive, cultivating lucrative relationships for Equifirst and their clients. For his astounding client relations and exceptional sales production, Joshua was awarded Account Executive of the Year in 2005 and 2006 for the Southwest Region. Joshua was also successful in a public affairs role with Equifirst’s community outreach team by establishing and maintaining relationships with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity.

Over the last two years, Joshua has spent his time at research institutions and think tanks examining an array of critical issues impacting citizens at the international, national and local level. These policies have ranged from economic security and education policy for indigenous peoples to border security and nuclear weapons programs. As a result of his strong analytical skills, Joshua’s assessments have been presented to both ASU’s Center for Indian Education and the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Department of Safeguards.

Joshua graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arizona State University. He earned his Master of Arts in International Security with Distinction from University of London's Kings College. Whilst in London, Joshua distinguished himself from his cohorts by demonstrating leadership prowess and compelling work, ultimately leading to his selection to represent King's College at the UK-Norway Nuclear Warhead Disarmament Initiative as Chief Negotiator.
